Teacher: Julia King

Julia is a retired police officer who retrained to teach English as a foreign language. This enabled her to travel, working for short periods in Vietnam, Mexico and Austria, and at a number of residential Summer schools in the UK so she has worked with people from all over the world.

Julia loves teaching younger children as their enthusiasm is a delight while their lack of inhibition is refreshing. She also enjoys the fine detail of forensic language analysis when teaching advanced learners.

Julia likes to introduce fun into the classroom and encourages her learners at all levels to ask questions. No question is silly and if one student wants to know the answer at least one other in the class also wants to know.

She currently lives in Nottinghamshire, England with her old rescue dog, Winston, and in her spare time she likes to swim.
